What can I buy online here? We grade on sites offering a good choice..

Slickcar.com has a car parts range of gargantuan proportions. Therein lies the problem – it’s not all sorted and categorized efficiently or effectively. We clicked on their Product category and saw streaming lists of small-text links to a plethora of products. This is beyond an encumbrance, it’s somewhat nauseating.

What deals does this site offer to online consumers? Are there offers for returning customers? Is this generally an expensive or a bargain car accessories site?.

Regularly Slickcar.com specially selects several car accessories products and offers them to customers at prices below their normal everyday prices. These are not always cheap however – so you’re not necessarily getting a good deal. You must act quickly in purchasing the merchandise because the Special pricing is only good for a limited time.

How does the site look? This parameter evaluates the overall design and gives extra points for any innovative techniques..

This online cars design is simply shocking. We really wanted to find features and elements of it to praise, but we simply lucked out. It’s so overloaded with text that it’s virtually impossible to enjoy the many quality products they are promoting. Aesthetically the look of the site is bland and hardly lives up to its namesake of Slickcar. As a result, we graded it poorly.

Can you contact the site with queries? This grades the email support and telephone contacts available to users..

First off, it wasn’t easy to find the support page. We eventually did however. There are email, phone/fax and addresses to contact. It’s very dry - nothing too fancy at all, and in a word - mediocre.

Why is it different to other car accessory sites? What makes this site unique? We graded on originality and innovation..

Innovation clearly means different things to different people, because if looking like a bazaar is what these guys were hoping to achieve, then they have succeeded. This site looks like it belongs in the informal sector car market.

How large is the range of brands on this site? Are we limited to a narrow selection of big name brands or does this site offer real consumer choice? .

They offer brand searches on 42 makes of car and truck manufacturers. This is certainly an impressive list. We would like to see other generic manufacturers being listed too.
