Kia BUZZ is Kia’s official auto blog for sharing information on Kia vehicles, news, information and opinions. Kia BUZZ is written by a wide range of Kia experts and management from across the organization to help bring Kia closer to its customers, industry opinion leaders and car enthusiasts. In order to help customers enjoy Kia-BUZZ at its fullest, they provide a wealth of information on site.

Quality of the information. Here we look at the quality of the car blog and posts on the blog. Is the language easy to follow? Have they been able to make content interesting?.

Bad Buzz.....zzzz....zzzz

The content of this car blog is generally easy to understand. However that description is sometimes up for debate, depending on who wrote the specific blogposts. The issue here is that readers will enjoy posts which are written by everyday folks as well as high-level Kia managers. And several posts aren’t in fact typed, they’re simply photos. So it’s a mixed bag of nuts here in this cars site and it’s anybody’s guess what Kia feels about consistency and car blogs directory quality.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

Blog, gallery, about and tags are the four major categories on site. It’s not hard navigating to them at all. What is a little daunting is the long list of articles to scroll through on each page. It’s a rather simple and dull blog template that does precious little to inspire confidence in the car enthusiast’s mind. We were less inclined to browse through this car site than we were with several other top car sites.

Who writes this blog? Is it one person or a group of experts? We looked at the description or bio of the bloggers to find out who or what company is behind this blog? .

We have yet to make up our minds on the issue of multiple bloggers on a site. The benefits are clear: more content, varying opinions and a richer pool of knowledge to inculcate the public with. The downside comes in the form of inconsistency and register. Some posts are formal and others are more casual. It’s a unique blend – we’ll say that much, but we prefer a more structured approach.

How car crazy is this site? Is this a site for people that are crazy about cars? Does it include statistics? Sneak previews of latest models or other useful car content? .

In terms of being able to completely blow us away with rip-snorting, rooting-tooting motor madness content, Kia comes up short of the mark. They fail to ignite that passion that is the hallmark of quality car blog sites. We were impressed by Kia’s offerings, but not to the point where we would reflect back on it with awe.

Size isn't everything.

We took a peak at the length of the posts. The thing is we’re not all that partial to lengthy articles, especially when they begin to lose the plot halfway through. Many of the posts on the Kia site exceed 800 words. That’s a little too much for light-hearted reading, certainly a tad long for a Kia car enthusiast.

There are on average around 9 social options on the Kia blog for car enthusiasts to make use of. These are barely visible at first glance, but as you run a mouse-over they light up like a Christmas tree. For example there are Facebook, Digg, Delicious, Twitter and RSS feeds. We feel that they could present these social networking options a whole lot better – they are simply too dull overall.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out. .

The lacklustre Kia Buzz site is sorely in need of a multimedia overhaul. While they certainly feature hip videos and some stunning pictures, these have to be searched for. For the most part, the blog is dull. There are occasional snippets of multimedia technology, but these are slow to upload and generally ineffectual. We are not at all impressed by Kia’s multimedia capabilities.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with RSS feeds.

The number of quality news stories and updates on site varies. There are lulls and corresponding periods of higher posting activity. The erratic nature of the posts makes for a poor show. Kia attempts to showcase some quality news stories, but it’s all snippets from very specific geographic regions. We fail to see how a reader in one part of the world could possibly identify with, let alone engage with, the goings on in an obscure German village.
