The Car Blog, or TCB for those who are acronymically inclined, is alive because some of today’s top Web designers needed a place to drool and bitch about their motor vehicle obsessions. They won’t always talk about cars of course. Sometimes they will talk about trucks. Or motorcycles. Perhaps a motor-powered bicycle at some point as well.

Quality of the information. Here we look at the quality of the car blog and posts on the blog. Is the language easy to follow? Have they been able to make content interesting?.
Project PUMA
We thoroughly reviewed the Car Blog and made several important discoveries. The first is this: blue neon lights and a black background make it tough to take the blog seriously. And the content on Car Blog is anything but intuitive and it’s filled with grammatical errors and typos. There are scores of bullet-points and a flurry of activity of bold, white text against a black background. The auto blog stopped updating in February 2010 and that pretty much eliminates it as a contender for the top blog spot.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..
Navigation is hardly anything to write home about on the Car Blog’s directory. That’s because the site has obscure categories that neither espouse the concepts of clarity
or compatibility. Things like ‘Rants’ and the ‘Hot New Ish,’ border on the inane, and should be struck from the records. We are not impressed by the Car Blog’s navigation.

Who writes this blog? Is it one person or a group of experts? We looked at the description or bio of the bloggers to find out who or what company is behind this blog? .

Fortunately for Car Blog, this is one area where they provide an up close and personal insight into the ‘writers’ minds.’ The Pit Crew includes Joel Arellano and Robert Velton. This two-man show is effective insofar as the two bloggers contribute meaningful content – which they have subsequently stopped doing.

How car crazy is this site? Is this a site for people that are crazy about cars? Does it include statistics? Sneak previews of latest models or other useful car content? .

In our humble opinion, Motor Madness is not something that should suddenly be extinguished. Rather it is an ongoing passion for anything and everything cars related. Pray tell, why did Car Blog so abruptly stop updating in February 2010? It does boggle the mind. So despite their former efforts – they fail to convince us of their ongoing passion for cars.

Size isn't everything.
Size does matter, especially when quality content is being evaluated. Car Blog is on the money with articles in the range of around 600 words. This is on the ‘lighter’ side of what we have seen in the blog flops. The length is just enough to keep us interested and not enough to bore us.

but it counts right? Here we looked at the length of the posts. .
When it comes to social interactivity on Car Blog, then we’re faced with the following 9 options: Twitter, Facebook, Mister Wong, Linkedin, Google, Mixx, Delicious, Sphinn and Digg. These are generally hidden until your run a mouse over them.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out. .
We scoured the site for good examples of multimedia capabilities. But we were unable to find many. There are a handful of videos on site and some decent enough pictures. But they’re quite limited in the Multimedia department. We didn’t find any mobile and audio options on site.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with RSS feeds.
The Car Blog does not update. It has not done so since February 1st 2010.
