How easy is it to find cars? Do you need an account to use this site or does it offer its services to everyone? Can I save my searched cars?.

How detailed are the car model specifications? Do you get a good feel of the vehicle.

We performed a quick search for a sublime BMW 1 series convertible, with pretty specific details. The results are astounding. AutoTrader lists price, mileage, body style, interior/exterior colors, engine, transmission, drive type, fuel type, doors, stock number, VIN and stunning pics to boot. Amazing, truly mind blowing.

We traced the process of car searching from start to finish and the best we could muster was an email option to share specific car listings with friends, family and others. But we did not find many social options at all, especially not those linking from AutoTrader.com to other social networking sites.

AutoTrader provides loads of email, telephone and other support options for their customers. It’s all found under the ‘Help’ page of their website. It’s pretty decent, and there is an online form to complete, a live 8am – 8pm customer service help desk etcetera. Overall, we are very satisfied with the support they provide.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out. .

You name it, it’s listed. We started with Acura and cruised through to Yugo. The options are varied and the car models are fully inclusive. It’s real consumer choice here and there is certainly no narrow selection at all.

When it comes to special deals, then AutoTrader is on top of their game. They have the best deals in the industry and they are loaded with quantity too. While there are many bargains to be had, there are also premium priced vehicles. It’s certainly a buyer’s market.
