PocketDyno™ transforms your iPhone or iPod Touch into an automotive performance meter. With it you can measure your vehicle's horsepower, your 0-60 and quarter mile time and much more all for the price of a hamburger and fries. It sure is great car technology on your iPhone.

What is the wow factor here? Is this site going to blow my mind with its cool.

This cars site has a futuristic look to it, but it’s not anything that an Earthling could possibly understand. There is a wave or some sort of amplitude that is obviously meant to impress car tech enthusiasts, but it fails to ignite any reaction other than boredom. We are hardly stunned or amused or even entertained by this car tech site and the ‘Wow Factor’ element is a total downer.

There are six categories on site. The template takes a little while to upload and when it does, there is barely anything exciting enough to warrant navigating there in the first place. This iTunes application is hardly worth all the fuss of waiting for these content poor pages to upload. Another issue which became slightly annoying was the black background. It made it very tough to read the content clearly.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded..

This device – PocketDyno™ – is some sort of a gimmick. It measures torque, acceleration and the like by transmitting information to and from an iTunes application to an iPhone. But what on earth are the Odometers for on vehicles? It’s all a bit pie-in-the-sky for us to endorse such claptrap.

How futuristic is this site? Is it breaking new ground in the green tech or electric car industry? We grade on the future of cars… .

The site is designed as a standalone sales ploy for customers to purchase an iPhone application for $12.99 USD. There isn’t much in the way of news stories or updates for us to comment on unfortunately. This future car site has some work to do.

Is this site up-to-date? Number of updated.

Privacy should be a prominent link or tab or even a category – especially when money is supposed to be changing hands. But all this site does is redirects to iTunes where they take care of all the privacy/safety and security issues. So in essence PocketDyno™ has no privacy policy.

Is this site safe? Does the site protect my personal information? Is the privacy policy easy to find? Will this site bombard me with emails or share my details with other providers? Is this site recommended or verified by a regulator?.

The way this site is set up, one would expect to find a tremendous degree of multimedia options. This was not meant to be however. There are graphics displaying the PocketDyno™ but they are hardly interactive in any meaningful way. And there are no videos either. It’s a rudimentary site at best.

How interactive is this site? Is there a Facebook Group? Twitter? RSS feeds? Linked In? Forum? We found out. .

Fans of car racing will be chuffed to see the black and white checkered flag, but from a support perspective all that display is a tiny box for name, email and message.
